An endoscope is a medical device that allows a trained medical professional to see into various orifices of your body. It has two main parts, a handle and insertion tube that has a camera on the end. The doctor will insert the tube into the patient’s nose or mouth to examine their respiratory tract. The handle controls the movement of the inserted part inside the patient. The inserted part is embedded with a CMOS light sensor microchip that can capture high quality digital images inside the patient and transfer it to a video processor. The video processor takes the image data and projects it onto a screen for real-time observation.

Conventional endoscopes are reusable, and the highlight of our product is that it is disposable. Every one of our endoscopes is brand new, ready to use right after unpacking, disposable after usage. No need for regular disinfection like conventional endoscopes. This means our endoscopes can increasing productivity and lower purchasing and maintenance costs. But most importantly, they prevent cross infection as they are fully sterilized in our factory.

Not necessarily. Conventional endoscopes can be reused many times, but they need to be sterilized using FDA approved ethylene oxide before they can be used on the next patient.

The issue is there are many parts of the world where the sterilization process fails to meet the required standards. ECRI published that patients exposed to the risk of cross infection due unthorough sterilization of endoscope is one of the ten main medical hazards today.

Secondly, the training of disinfection personnel is as important as the disinfection process itself. Before performing high level disinfection or sterilization, the personnel should make sure that they are sterilized up to a higher degree or else the disinfection process may be ineffective.

Therefore, there isn’t significant cause for concern if you are undergoing an endoscopy procedure involving a conventional endoscope, but our products are advantageous to medical professionals who want to save time and money, while guaranteeing hygienic performance.

The disposable endoscopes seen on the market normally do not reach the standards of the conventional endoscope.
